Roller skating with Emily and Tracy

Today we went to the rink to test our skills. I haven't skated in years and I'm taking the compliment given by Tracy Ann "you are doing good!" I didn't fall once but had to take breaks now and then. Either my feet hurt or I was so hot my glasses fogged. Seriously. What a workout.

We went 1/2 hour early for the lesson session. It was totally worth the extra $2 to have the rink to ourselves. Well, there were two toddlers and one little guy there and eventually a couple of adults but it was like we had our own place. The guy teaching was nice and gave us good tips.

Anyone else wanna join us? Saturday 12:30 - 3:30 for $7 total. We left around 2pm. We were tired and hungry!

Today I watched the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua with Elsie. I'm not joking when I say that she barked, growled, or made other noises at the TV during the entire movie. She truly watched the entire movie.

Birthday Update

Many thanks to my wonderful friends and family for making this birthday so special! I have a few more picture to post but it might be a while. I need one gift to be displayed to get the proper effect...

I guess these are my gift to myself. No, I'm not joining derby... but we are going to join Tracy Ann on the rink for some fun and exercise. This should be hilarious. I haven't been on skates in years. I'm wondering if I should use a little of what is found in the first picture before I use the skates? Just kidding. I would never drink and skate. Now, text and skate, you might see me do that....

2009 Tampa Firefighters Charity Auction at The Ritz, Tampa, Florida

Girls gone wild in Tampa last night! I guess if you can't get a date, you just buy one!
The ladies bid on each firefighter and some went for over $500. Wow. A lot of money was raised for LiveStrong.
