With the Remington!

Me and heather vela.

Amon Carter Museum, Ft Worth TX

I finally got to see some Remington and Russell art. They both did sculpture and they both painted. Beautiful. The painting of the shoot out at the saloon is a Russell. The second is by Remington. Sculptures are Remington's.  Unfortunately this museum is doing some construction and upgrades so this exhibit is very small right now and most of the collection is in storage. The man who originally owned all this art, Amon Carter, started buying them in the early 1900s.  He ended up having over 400 pieces, or so they say.   Based on his final wishes, his family created this museum to house his amazing collection.

Fire Pit empty!

Jimmy is staying with the girls while I'm in Fort Worth. So far he says he has cleaned out the gutters and he's also distributed throughout the garden all the ash from the fire pit. Looks great! Must be time for a bonfire.

Tab and Corey at Palladium Theatre

Bernard Allison!

Tab and Joni

Tab doesn't even know we are standing there. He's way too busy doing whatever it is he does. I just barged in and played the annoying fan role for two minutes so Joni could have a pic.

Pine Street is coming along

New kitchen. New doors. New bathtub- dammit. The place needs a little paint and final cleaning and it will be back on the market. I didn't plan on doing all of this but oh well. I'd rather spruce up old darby! Someday....
