This was familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. It reminded me of years ago when dogs did just run around and I thought about how nowadays I rarely see a dog out running around. I could have many more pics of these happy and free dogs but I didn't think of snapping pics until after I saw a few.
Tunica, MS.... just a few miles from the casino row.
Rosedale, MS
Somewhere on a dirt road near Indianola, MS. As I approached, four more ran out from the back of the property. I couldn't get a good pic of the six dogs chasing me as I slowly drove by. This reminded me of the farm dogs from years ago.
The next two are Memphis dogs. This dog was wandering the park near the Civil Rights Museum.
Another sad momma dog somewhere in downtown Memphis.
I see a picture book in my future....
Morgan City, MS. This sad momma dog was in the yard of the Mt. Zion church. There wasn't any visable homes nearby so I'm not sure where she lived. I had zero snacks in the car and was so sad I had nothing to offer her. She was very submissive and scared.

I'm sure you remember "Ben" my Shepard/chow mix. When we lived in Beavercreek he ran with another German named Chiko, the neighbor's dog. Those dogs were let out of the house on a daily basis, ran the neighborhood and did no harm to ANY ONE! Used to piss off the neighbor between us though cus they liked to lay head to head in their front yard! I will NEVER forget your mom putting the "raincoat" on Butch and walking him around!
